Aight, how do I 'splain this...

Whenever I have my PC running, I am running Outlook. I have Outlook hidden
when it's minimized. Every so often, I'll have to get into Outlook to grab
an email or take a look at the calendar or whatever and I click on the
Outlook icon that I have in my "Quick Launch". That opens a brand new
Outlook and usually opens up to anther place on my screen. Then, when I try
to close Outlook (ya know, by hitting the "X", it closes the 2nd Outlook
window that was opened and not the original one so it leaves Outlook running
in the background. So now, if I want to close Outlook compleletly, I have to
take that extra step to open Outlook from my "Notification Area" and close
it that way. I know it only takes about 1 more second to do that, but I am
very used to having Outlook open in my first, um, Outlook window when I
click on my "Quick Launch".

I hope this makes sense. What happened was that I had to reinstall Office
'03 the other night and it started doing this when I reinstalled.

Thanks for the help!

Why are you hiding the original Outlook icon, once it's running? If you stop
hiding it, you won't have the problem that you have now and you'll save your
computer's system resources and your own aggravation.

Make sure your Quick Launch shorcut contains " /recycle" at the end of the
target line.
