Outlook 03' Spam Filter

Hi all
I have outlook 03' installed and noticed that the spam filter doesn't work. The reason i think it doesn't work is because of the folder structure i use. I have 2 email accounts(pop3) and have a rule setup to automatically move mail from the default inbox to one of 2 sub-folders under the inbox i.e

+Inbo
Email Account
Email account

No mail gets collected in the default inbox. The rules i have setup are
Apply this rule after message arrive
Through the XXXXXXXXX accoun
and on this machine onl
move it to the "foldername" folde

Do you think the spam filter only works on the default inbox? If so, is there any way of selecting the folder(s) to filter
Any help will be greatly appreciated

the spam filter works on messages left in the inbox - when you use a rule to
move messages out based on account, it doesn't act on the messages affected
by the rule.

Only on Inbox, yes.
