Also, undocking your PDA will release the Outlook session.

| I haven't come up with the "ultimate" fix but I did find a
| workaround that works "most of the time" when using
| exchange as a service provider.
|
| The problem seems to revolve around the connection state
| to the exchange server (after you exit Outlook03 it should
| disconnect and terminate the connections to your
| server)...This isn't occuring and thus the outlook service
| is still active and won't allow you to open another
| occurence until you "terminate" the first instance. Even
| disconnecting the ethernet or terminating the dial-up
| won't convince the program that it has lost connection!
|
| First, Make sure you do NOT have "Automatically Detect
| Connection State" checked. This will get rid of "part" of
| the problem.
|
| Secondly, Under "Tools, Options, Mail Setup, Send/Receive
| (Send/Receive) select "Perform an Automatic Send/Receive
| when exiting." (This seems to provide the biggest bang for
| the buck.)
|
| Lastly, check your AV virus software for any "keep alive"
| settings when scanning.
|
|
| Hope this works for you.
