Dear All,

Here's my Outlook problem. I have several emails and folders in my mailbox.
When i click on one email i get the hour glass for 1-2 minutes and after
that it's displayed. There is no harddisk or CPU... activity during this
time. it just doesn't respond. Any ideas?

My .pst was created with Office XP years ago, then i had Office 2003 Trial,
then it expired and i bought the full version. After i installed full one, i
started experiencing this freezing...

Things i 've tried with no luck:
-Disabled antivirus
-Created new .pst and imported emails from the old one
-Uninstalled and Reinstalled Office

The same time, maybe a week before, MSN 6.2 started hanging too. it won't
respond at it's own times but it comes back after 1-2 minutes...

Can someone help or suggest how i should troubleshoot?

For the record, WinXP Pro, Office 2003, P4 2.8C, 1GB RAM, 500GB disk,
etc....

Thank you,
George

OK, I found solution. HOW ANNOYING! I opened Event Viewer and there were a
lot of Errors with DCOM. Exact message: "The server
{0C0A3666-30C9-11D0-8F20-00805F2CD064} did not register with DCOM within the
required timeout." I looked this key up in the registry and saw it's
associated with "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft
Shared\VS7DEBUG\MDM.EXE". It's the Maschine Debug Manager?! I looked up
MDM.EXE on Google and found that you need to go and Disable Script Debugging
in Internet Explorer's options. Mine had alwasy been off. So opened up the
Internet Options, and under Advanced i found two instances of Disable Script
Debugging, one for Internet Explorer and one for Other. The "Other" one was
unchecked... So had to check it. This must have been added when i installed
stupid FireFox browser some while ago to try it. Just disabled it and
Outlook is back to normal!
