Outlook 03 & eathlink problem

I had a problem getting the e-mail set up for wife using
MSW XP office outlook 03 and earthlink.net. I got
assistance from earthlink and we kept getting the
following message when we try to send a message. !
Task'pop.earthlink.net-sending report error
(0x8004010F): The operation failed. An object could not
be found.

are you using a firewall or have antivirus email scanning enabled? is there
an exchange account in the profile?
