Outline pane not displaying text

Hello,

I'm having trouble displaying text created using the
textbox tool from the drawing toolbar. It displays in
the slide, but when I switch it to outline tab, the text
is not there. Sometimes I want to create my own text box
and this is when I encounter the problem. Is there a way
to fix it so that the text will display in the outline
tab?

example: I inserted a new slide with a bullet. The text
that I created within the placeholder of the bullets
appear when I view it in hte Outline tab. Then I decided
to create a textbox and type a few text in. Then I try
to view it in the Outline tab, it's not there.

Any suggestions or advice to correct this?

Bagia,
The outline pane will only show the text in slide placeholders. If you want
your text to show up in the text view of your outline, you need to use the
pre-built slide layouts and only put text in the placeholders.

FYI: If you save the presentation as an outline, the same limitation
applies. Only text in placeholders is considered outline text.

The Outline view only display the text that is added to placeholders. That
can't be changed.

That's what I was afraid of. Thank you.
