Outgoing mail

I am using exchange 2003 on SBServer 2003. I have configured the settings (I
think) as they should be for outgoing mail to use my ISP's SMTP server and I
use a third party connector for incoming POP3 mail which is fine.

I have a problem with outgoing mail. I send mail, it appears in my sent
items, there is nothing queued on the server and I receive no undeliverable
messages. However the mail is never received anywhere and I never receive
receipt confirmations. I know there is no problem with my ISP because I am
also running down an Exchange 5.5 server and this has no problems whatsover -
all mail is sent and received as it should be.

Any suggestions?

Does your ISP host the Exchange server? One doesn't usually access Exchange
via POP/SMTP, but when one does, typically the POP/SMTP servers are both the
Exchange server.

Where is your default delivery location? Perhaps the messages are going to
the Exchange server (which is why they show up as sent) but because the
Exchange server is not configured to send external mail, the recipient never
sees it.

Just a shot in the dark, here.

Usually if Exchange is not configured to send externally you'll get an NDR.
Another possibility is that some anti-spam software somewhere along the line
is deleting the messages - one person I worked with in the newsgroups
recently had this happening to her.

I have had the same problem with e-mail accounts from third party ISP, it
worked fine before Exchange was installed but right now when i send an e-mail
to this ISP i don't get any error messages, e-mails are sent to "Sent Items"
folder, but they never reach destination.

Any idea?
