Outgoing mail SMTP server

I tried to send mail from Microsoft Word. I got this error message
Out going email SMTP Server. how can I get to this to change it and why is
it changing.

Can't resist adding to the problem! Here's what I get: Subject 'New
Computer', Account: 'pop.comcast.net', Server: 'smtp.comcast.net', Protocol:
SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC19 How can I get
Windows Mail to SEND!!!
 
Comcast has been switching their users over to SMTP port 587
(instead of port 25). You can make that change by going to Tools, Accounts,
select that mail account, Properties, Advanced. Also go to the Servers tab
and make sure "My server requires authentication" is checked.
 
Comcast has started requiring users to change the port number for their
outgoing mail server, but hasn't been good about telling their users about
this in advance. See here:

This seems to be a real "PITA" not just for me! would love a
resolution..Soon. I can't seem to crack the secret code!!!! I just want to

Well, we can't look over your shoulder or read your mind. In order for us
to help you, you will have to post the complete error message, like
"Rusted" did below.
Each problem is a little different.
