Out of Rules Space -- Any solutions?

I got the message "There is not enough space on the Microsoft Exchange
Server to store all of your rules" when adding a rule to Outlook 2003
on Exchange Server. I looked it up on the Web, and it seems that there
is a limitation of 32k of rules. I have perhaps 50 simple rules, which
doesn't seem a lot to me. 32k limitation seems like something from the
1980s, not from a modern piece of software like Outlook.

Is there some solution to this, that doesn't involve me doing
ridiculous things like intermediate distribution lists and such like.
All I want is to right click the message, make a rule for it and sort
each email into an appropriate group.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

No, you cannot extend this limit. 50 rules does sound like a lot to me. See
if you can combine rules. Also see if you can use other means of organizing
your mailbox like by using separate view, color coding and/or Search
Folders.
