Hi

Try setting the Refresh Rate to Optimal or Adapter Default.

Monitors are built to handle certain refresh rates at certain dimensions
(such as 85Hz at 800 x 600). At one time, users could set refresh rates
higher than the monitor was designed to handle and burn them up.
Since then, monitor manufacturers have gotten smart -- the build circuitry
into their monitors that detects a refresh rate that is too high and
prevents the monitor from accepting that input. "Out of range" is the error
message that indicates you have set your refresh rate higher than the
monitor can handle.

This is is an example of manufactures idiot-proofing their hardware.

Normally, this means that either the monitor is not connected to
the computer's video adapter, or someone has set the display
properties to something that the monitor cannot handle. After
ensuring that the monitor is connected, reboot the PC, pressing <F8>
after the BIOS loads. At the resulting menu, select VGA mode. Once
you get logged in, right-click on the Desktop, select Properties >
Settings to select a resolution that your monitor can handle. Consult
the monitor's manual.
