Out of Range blue screen

I have bought a new system with XP installed. Started it up when I got
home. It runs to WinXP startup and quits with a blue screen saying in the
center

Out of Range
85Hz / 53KHz

Any ideas where I start to look for the probalem? I reloaded XP from CD.
No change.

Weird. Sounds like XP is not recognizing the refresh
rate of your monitor. Try a different monitor or video
card. Or, if video is built into the mainboard, it might
be a mainboard problem. You might call whoever
sold you the computer, and lay the problem on them.
