Out of office

I am using Outlook 2003 and have been used to using the Out of Office agent in my previous company.

Now I am working only on a local machine, albeit with an always-on connection and when I am out of the office I would like to use a similar feature.

All I want to do is to send a auto-reply to advise the sender that I am unavailable and will respond to them upon my return.

I can't believe that I am the only person working like this so... Any ideas?

Out of Office works only if you connect to an Exchange server. Otherwise,
you'll have to spoof it with rules - and this means leaving Outlook open &
connected to the Internet for the duration of your absence. See
http://www.slipstick.com/rules/index.htm

Note - if you do this, you're probably also going to be replying to a lot of
spam, thereby verifying to the spammer that they 'got a live one'....
