out of office reply wont work get error message

have tried adding an out of office reply but keeps on coming up with message
" command is not available see the programme documentation about how to use
this extension"

user says it does same thing whether he logs on his laptop or
terminal..says the problems been there for past 3 years any clues

The Out of Office Assistant is available only if you use Exchange as your
mailbox. See
