I have win XP Pro and win98 installed(dual) when i start
winxp it shows me an error "Out of frequency" How can
solve this problem and start win XP.

Google search returned this link
http://www.support.gateway.com/s/MONITOR/shared/ooffaq.shtml
which indicates that the video/graphics settings are not
compatible with your monitor.

Start XP in safe mode and set your video properties to
something your computer and monitor can use with either
OS...I assume you are trying to set screen resolution and
refresh rates too high with W98 so your games run faster. I
think XP is a little more selective about allowing
inappropriate settings.

When starting the machine up keep tapping the f8 key at
the top of your keyboard. This will get you into the safe
mode. You will then need to get into the display
properties in the control panel and set your refresh rate
to say 60. This is a pretty safe setting for most
monitors. While this is an "eye strain" setting it will
allow you to start your system up and then slowly work up
to the max your monitor will take before getting the out
of sync warning. The best settings for the monitor and
your eyes is around 100-120 or better if your system can
handle it. Keep smiling.
