how do i save all my outlook contacts to a disc to use on
another computer?

Your contacts are already saved to a disk: your hard disk. Enable the
Hidden Files folder option (depending on your version of Windows) and look
for a file whose type is .pst. Copy that file to a floppy (if small enough)
or to a CD and put the CD in the other computer. COpy the file to that
computer's HD (in any folder you like), removing the "Read-Only" attribute
if copied from a CD, and start Outlook. Use File>Open>Personal Folders File
(or Outlook Data File, depending on your version of Outlook) and browse to
the file you copied. Open the new Folder File's Contacts folder and copy
them to your primary delivery Contacts folder. All done.

File-Import and Export

Import/Export

Export to file = Comma Separated Values (windows)

NEVER use import/export when a simple COPY will do. What a waste.

Why copy when import/export is the proper way to do it.

If you had read messages in this group for any length of time, you'd know
the answer to this.

Either way works. Besides the few extra mouse clicks, however, any custom
views you may have defined for your Contacts will be lost when exporting to
a new/different PST file.
