<sigh> So what exactly happens when you try? Any error message? Does the
"Test Account Settings" option work?

Thank you Gordon for offering your assistance to the seriously technically
challenged people like myself. The provider had me change the incoming and
outgoing mail address. Now it's fine with no explanation as to why the old
address no longer worked. Thank you
