I recently upgraded to Outlook 2003. Since that time I cannot send a message
the first time I send it to the out box. It shows the Date:none which will
not send the message. On every message I have to reopen the message as well
as a new message window, copy and paste all the contents, header and address
then hit send and it will then come up as date:today and will send. This is
the only way I can send a message and it has become a real pain. I have
disabled the spam filter, looked at all the options I can, nothing works. I
have installed all the updates for both XP and for the Office Professional
2003. I am considering using another mail program as this is a real pain as I
send a great deal of messages each day.

Do you use an AV that is set to scan the outgoing and incoming messages? If
yes, does turning it off help? What do you have set on your send/receive
settings?

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

I have tuned off the Norton Spam filter, changed the junk mail settings,
however I have not tried to turn of filtering the outgoing mail in he virus
scan. Send immidiately is disabled. THese are the same settings I used with
Outlook 2000 which did not have this problem.

From what I've seen in this group, just disabling the scanning option in
Norton won't do it - you have to uninstall Norton, then reinstall it
without the options checked. Your symptoms sound an awful lot like one of
the problems people have encountered with Norton...
