can i re-name an OU with all the users in without having any major
implications. Please also can someone let me know what i will encounter if
any.

Good morning to you again!

You can change the name of an Organizational Unit without any implications.
About the only thing that is going to happen is that the user account
objects' DN is going to change ( well, as well as the obvious ).
