OU names

I heard that the DNS namespace should not have an
underscore (_) in its name. But, what about an OU?

Several of our OUs have underscores (_) in them.
Truthfully, I don't like underscores. But I need a
technical reason why we should rename the OUs using dashes
instead.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

From http://support.microsoft.com?kbid=222823

Request for Comments (RFC) 1035 states that only letters, numbers, and hyphens
are valid. However, because of the added functionality of dynamic updates,
Microsoft DNS allows less stringent naming policies in order to comply with many
client naming conventions. When you use an underscore or other special
character, the name is updated with Microsoft DNS. You then receive the warning
message stating that only Microsoft DNS is a supported method and other DNS
servers may not support the registration.
