A few of my contacts in Outlook 2003 are receiving e mails unintended for
them. I have run virus scans on this machine, all Norton System Works
utilities. It just started happening a few days ago.

Help!

it must not be nessarily from you,,, anyone can use your email address.
Using a false sender address in email is as easy as using a false sender
address in postal mail... just write it at the letter or the email.
To proove that, you need the ip address of the email, which is coded into
the header, a reverse lookup might reveal that email comes from other
country, other provider or something.
Maybe a different computer has got a virus or any spammer is lending your
email address.

They are legitimate messages. I sent my son and son in law a message and
two of my other contacts received it too.

The messages are from me to a few of my legitimate contacts. Problem is,
some of my other contacts are receiving them too!

Are the CC's going to the same accounts always? Do you have a rule setup to
CC addresses? tools, rules... VBA code doing the Cc'ing?

No. I have rules to block some incoming senders. That is all. Today I did
a detect and repair to set to default settings. After the process was
completed, my wife sent me an e mail and I got it...plus my friend in my
address book received it too?

I am totally confused as to what is causing this. I sent my son an e mail
and asked if anyone else received it, please let me know. I'll know later
today.

Thanks For Your Response

Tom
