Tried to add a third computer to home network. Running XP on new machine and
the home network setup. The new machine can see and access the other two
computers, but it does not show up on the network and the other computers
cannot access the shared folders.

All have unique names and correct domain names. Am able to ping the new
computer. New computer has McAfee and Norton trials. Tried disabling these
programs in case they were blocking the connections.

Any other suggestions?

Sounds like a firewall issue. I've seen this before with McAfee.

Disable the firewall protection in the Norton and McAfee products - OR,
better yet, uninstall them both and go with a Trend Micro's PC-Cillin suite
($49.95 for 1 PC or $89.95 for 3 PCs at
http://www.digitalriver.com/v2.0-img/operations/trendmic/site/multi.htm).

If you'd like to try free software - go to http://www.hubbardsoftware.net
and click on the links at the bottom of the page for free antispyware and
antivirus software.
