Dr. Indera

hello,

i've looked for a forum for firewall software, but couldn't find one, so i'm
hoping that i can get some help here. if not, i understand.

i installed the free version of this software a few months ago. there is a
feature named "inbound protection". i don't know what it is suppose to do. i
read the info provided in the help system, but i didn't understand it. <i
pasted it below>

this is the text next to the inbound option: "the firewall has blocked 0
access attempts"
i don't know what this means, but it doesn't sound good to me.

any advise would be greatly appreciated.

thanks
indera

The protection area tells you at a glance whether your firewall, program,
and e-mail security settings are safe. It also summarizes security activity
of each type.

Tip To reset the alert counts in this area, click Reset to Default at the
bottom of the panel.

Inbound Protection
Use this area to see:

a.. If your firewall is configured safely. ZoneAlarm will warn you if
firewall security is set too low.
b.. How many Firewall alerts have occurred since the last reset.

Inbound protection is just an indicator how many hackers
are attempting to look in to your computer... So if you
see zero (0) that means no hacker have tried to break in
to your computer yet, which is a good thing

I also use zone alarm as my firewall
