.... computer users with problems involving Dell products.

a) Is it reflective of the % of Dell comps out there?
b) Do Dell provide this newsgroup as a specific help link?

Don't know what to tell you. There is a Dell newsgroup in
Usenet, alt.sys.pc-clone.dell. It just might well be due to
the fact that Dell sells the most branded systems and would
consequently have numerically larger numbers of people with
Windows XP issues.

Perhaps. But many times, the helpful suggestions made here
are not that more successful at resolving difficulties. And
tech support within a newsgroup is never well-structured or
organized at logical problem-solving. Or one can also write
that a "computernik" is a "computernik" in any language but
there are too many users that have been dumbed-down to the
extent that they no longer know how to learn new technology
or are proficient in the three R's. "No kid left behind" can
be interpreted to mean that everybody graduates.

Only because Dell is one of the more popular builders of home computers.
It has nothing to do with the quality of Dells.

Dell's tech support leaves a lot to be desired.
