With all the virii/trojans going on out ther, my boss wants
me to make up a report showing statistics so he can show it to our board of
directors.
(trying to get a bigger budget?) ;-)

What I am looking for is a site that has info on:
Number of virii currently circulating.
Number of infections.
Any major companies/firms/Agencys hit.
etc, etc, etc.

Anyone out there know where I could find this?
Most of the major antivirus companies have some info, but
mostly limited to what thier software has reported.

Thanks for any info you can give.

Thanks.
That was the first thing I did, that and just good ol' google.com.
Not much there that was very useful, that's why I figured I would ask here.

most anti-virus program websites have information about current threats,
activity by region, and suchlike. You will have trouble getting
believable data on 'large companies affected' .. the IT departments of
same do their best to suppress news of any significant failures. 8>.

Thanks, but been there, done that.
Like I said in my original post, the vendors sites only show what their
software has detected.
I was looking for global statistics, not just the info from a single vendor.

I found what I needed from a couple of collage sites, of all places.

Found plenty. Boeing, PSE&G, Microsoft, The English Parliment, US Department
of Defense,
Maryland Department of Motor Vehicles, Edwards Air force base, and about 20
or so others.

Those are just the ones that 'leaked' 8>.

More then enough for me.
We just wanted to show that companies/agencies that large got hit, and we
have not gotten hit once since we implimented our antivirus solutions. Makes
our MIS department look good to the higher ups. ;-)
