Hi from Europe - I'm struggling to find a radio archive of Ronald Reagan's
weekly radio transmissions (if such a thing exists - it should, don't ya
think?)

I've googled my heart out. His presidential library doesn't have much audio
online and the current Whitehouse site only has GW Bush stuff.

Help? Are the weekly radio addresses archived anywhere online?

Have a nice day - or as we say in Europe - Goodbye...

Not sure why you posted here, but maybe this is your lucky day. Go to
www.npr.org and contact them. They often use old audio for their news
stories. Someone there has to have the information you're looking for. If
you get a dumb response via e-mail, you may have to play reporter, get on
the phone, and push harder.

Only posted here as I'm a regular poster and figured my US chums might help
me out.. on an Off Topic basis.... and it's just after 9am in the eastern
US... so folks are coming online...

I'm actually looking for his 1984 11th Aug radio address in full.

The site you linked only goes up to 1979

Tx anyway,

Give this site a try. I've found it a useful search engine for similar
requirements.

This is a really helpful search engine that groups results into themes. For
instance, a search for US & immigration organizes into themes like: Lawyer,
Green Card, Bush, Debate, Illegal Immigration, etc.

Hello Mac
I have come in late but I recently helped my grand-daughter with a school
project.
You say you did a google search so you prob did this, but I have still got
the initial search in favourites, which I am sure you can tailor to your
preferences.
Again, sorry if I am teaching you how to suck eggs.

P.S.
Have you tried the B.B.C - she got some info from there.

badgolferman - that's almost near perfect! Except there doesn't seem
to be a audio archive... which is what I'm really after...

One would think such historical radio broadcasts would be archived
online somewhere... this is all I got so far but I want the full
context...

Thanks for the text at

Listen here also. You might get lucky. What are you going to use it
for?

That's a great link Paul - but no audio...

Another poster gave me the text already.

Seems these radio archives are not online (should be...I can't believe they
are not stored somewhere...)

I'm not going to use it for anything per se - a friend asked me to see if I
could find the original radio broadcast for a DJ mix (????) ;-) In truth I
think he just wanted the humorous "off-air" segment which I've already
located the MP3 of, but the search process piqued my interest in why these
recordings seem not to be archived online... they should be ... right?
