Sorry for the OT but I don't know ehere else to post this.

Whenever I click on an object on my desktop, Qt starts and then
complains about ny CD in drive. I click on continue a bunch of times
and eventually it shuts up and plays.

Qt Control panel doesn't seem to have anything to say about device
preferences.

Any suggestions ?

Thanks

One simple thing to try. Open QuickTime. Click the FILE menu, then click
OPEN RECENT.
At the bottom of the dropdown list, click CLEAR RECENT.

Now see if it works and better.

Thanks, that did it. I had to put any-old CD into the drive, but it
shut up, afterwords.
