OT: IP Logging on this Forum

According to Chris Lanier, Microsoft logs IP addresses of forum users on
this site. Do they do IP address exclusion or attempt to control the
discussion at any point?

Aside from the fact that IP logging is a rather routine
and easily accomplished thing (every hosting company does
it, just about every web server does it by default), I
don't think there's any evidence to back up his statement
nor evidence to answer your question.

I don't doubt that IP logging is enabled though.

1) this isn't a forum, it's usenet.

2) he was winding you up.

3) your IP is probably different every time you logon (unless you are on
broadband, when it may be fixed).

4) display all headers on a posting - do you see an originating IP in
there anywhere?!?
