I wonder if there is any remote possibility of finding somewhere an ADO.NET
driver for either Oracle or Sybase which would work on the Compact Framework
.....

Anyone knows ?

thanks, I will look at that.

I have, somehow, the feeling that Oracle is not interested in mobile
development, don't you think ?

Oracle has the Oracle Lite (runs on Pocket pc) engine which is the equivalent for SQL Server CE for Oracle.

Oracle is very interested in mobile deveopment, I've been programming for over a year with Oracle Lite and Pocket PC 2002/2003. They have a new version of their Lite database coming out sometime in late Spring (Oracle Lite 10g) that will work with their newest database 10g.

Yup.. I've been using it (Sybase ASA) for over a year, since the beta days. If you already have an ASA license, you can just download the most recent EBF update for Windows CE for the version you're using (8.02 or 9.0) and the ADO.NET Data Provider is in there

In fact I have neither Sybase or Oracle database here.
But I'm writting a database neutral product currently supporting SqlServer,
MySql & FileMaker (they said it's a database), and thought it would be nice
to support some other widespread database like Oracle & Sybase.

does Oracle Lite have an ADO.NET driver for the PPC ?
I definitely have to find a way to download that ....
