option to Show Names for Contacts is greyed out...

In Outlook 2003, the option to show contacts as an address book is greyed
out. Where so I go to turn that option back on? I know I can add another
contacts folder, but I want my original back with its data that is still on
the server. BTW - I cn still see the contacts in teh folder list.
