What is the best way of optimizing memory on my PC? I have 128mb RAM but my
machine sometimes runs very slowly and I can hear the hard disk working very
hard. What should I do?

Many thanks

Buy and Install at least 128MB more of memory.

Hi Len

128 Mb RAM is really too little to run XP with. The price of memory ATM isn't too bad, so adding an extra 128/384Mbs RAM would help a great deal. Failing that try Disk Defragmenter and Disk Cleanup - both of which can be found via Programs>Accessories>System Tools.

RAM memory is cheap. You should buy more memory, taking care that it
is compatible with your current system. You'll note the difference.

Good luck

I take it my 1 gig is overkill :)
