G Guest Apr 30, 2004 #1 I had to repair my XP installation and when all was said and done, my CD and DVD burner are no longer recognized. They do not show up in the Device Manager. Motherboard drivers up to date. Any suggestions?

R Rich Barry Apr 30, 2004 #2 I had the same experience when I was using the Via IDE Tool. You have to reinstall it.
