I had a major problem with XP as to where I had to reinstall the operation system. Everything works except I cannot load a printer. When I click on the add printer icon, I get "operation could not be completed"
When I try to add it via the print driver from epson it looks like it works except at the end it says "There was a problem installing this hardware epsonstylus photo 785epx. An error occurred during the installation of the device. The RPC server is unavailable"
I tried the suggested "net start spooler" and got the error message, "system error 3 has occurred. The system cannot find the specified path.
I tried "sfc /scannow" command and that had no impact
What do I need to do to be able to load a printer ever again.
