opening with Realone player

I have some MP3 files that are associated with Mediaplayer and i want to
open them with RealOne Player. I can do this once by using "open with" but
they revert to Mediaplayer. How can i change this permanently?

Hi Paul

When you right click on the mp3 file select Open With>Choose Program. On the next screen select Realplayer - if it isn't listed you will have to use the Browse button to navigate to where RP is on your HD - and then make sure that 'Always use the selected program to open this kind of file' is enabled. OK your way out.

In addition to the method Will pointed out, you might like to check out the
NEW method now available in WinXP.

Go to Control Panel | Add or Remove Programs, and click Set Program Access
and Defaults.

Have you tried to reset this via RealPlayer? Under view\ preferences\
upgrade, at least in the version I have. Usually people have
difficulty keeping Real from grabbing everything.
