W Will Oct 25, 2003 #3 Thanks Kevin, but I really am looking to open new instances of Excel each time I open a file.
D Dave Peterson Oct 25, 2003 #4 By double clicking in windows explorer (not via File|open)??? One way to try to fix this when it happens to people who don't want it is: Try Tools|Options|General|Ignore other applications (uncheck it) So you may try checking that option to see if it works for you.
