Opening powerpoint 2000 files in 2003?

Some of my files that I try to move from Powerpoint 2000 to Powerpoint 2003
will not open in 2003. The programme says the files are not powerpoint even
though they have a .ppt suffix.

This seems to happen mainly to files with images etc.

Can anyone offer help?
 
Have you applied SP-1 for Office 2003? In PPT 2003, go to Help/Check for
Updates and install SP-1.
