When I open Outlook an advertising window also opens from macromedia.com with an opportuity to download the flash player. How do I get rid of this "piggyback". I am running a completely updated Windows XP and running virus and hyjack software tell me I have neither problem. Can you help?

which version of outlook? Are you opening to the outlook today screen? if
so, if you change outlook to open in the inbox does it still happen? tools,
options, other tab, advanced options button - start in this folder at the
top of the dialog.

Diane, thanks for your help. I am using Outlook 2002, Service pack 3. I have been opening Outlook in the "Today Screen". I switched the opening screen to the inbox as you suggested and got the same response----the screen offering download came up. I have also so noticed that this happens only on boot up and the 1st time you bring up Outlook. If you close all windows including Outlook and then open Outlook again without rebooting the computer the irrant screen does not pop up. It will only do it once until you shut off the computer and then restart and go to Outlook. Can you still help?

You said spyware scans were clean? Is there anything in msconfig under
startup or services?
