Can't open link in new window, the new site opens up in existing window. I'm

Have you checked the setting in Tools, Internet Options, Advanced,
"Reuse Windows.........."? (remove check from box)

Are you using a Window stretched to the full desktop area perhaps? That
sounds like it is opening in a New window because you may not "go back"
when you open a new window, you may only close it to see the previous
window.
