Opening MS Works documents on Word Perfect Office 12

How do I open MS Works documents transferred from my old computer to my new
computer which has Word Perfect Office 12?

, WordPerfect 12 cannot import native Microsoft Works word processing
files. If you still have Works, you can open the .wps files in Works
and "save as" Rich Text Format (.rtf) files, which WordPerfect can open.
