opening more than 1 file

I used to be able to open more than 1 excel worksheet at
a time, all of a sudden it only shows 1. If I try to open
another I no longer see the other open one on the task-
bar. Some "computer genius" from work moved things
around, this is the only thing I can't fix. Please
help....
