Opening .jpg

My system tries to open .jpg attachments from Outlook in Word. I am just
coming back from 7 weeks off and a gremlin has messed with my computer. Can
anyone help me direct these pictures to an appropriate program?
 
open outlook and reduce the size of the window, open MY Pictures folder
(window) and just drag them to the new folder and next open your photo
software and open them there

Change your folder options to associate whatever JPEG viewer you like.
