Opening Hyperlinks

I'm using Windows XP, Office 2002 SP-1.
I have large workbooks with numerous links and when I was using '98 I would
use keyboard shortcuts and hit enter to open the links to the recipient
sheets or jump back and forth easily with the enter key. Now if I hit
enter, it only moves the cursor down (or wherever I have the setting),
instead of opening the link. Does anyone know how to set this up?

Thank you!

I don't recall xl2k working that way (just hitting enter to follow the
hyperlink).

What keyboard shortcuts did you use? (I'm using xl2002 and win98 still.)

And you can change the behavior for the enter key under:
tools|options|Edit Tab
Move selection after enter

I would just create a link to another worksheet and when I was in the cell
(I could get there either by tabbing or using the arrows) I could hit Enter
on the link and it would jump me to my recipient link, or I could use my
mouse and click on the link and it would do the same thing.
The keyboard shortcuts were if the link was in Sheet 2, A1 referencing Sheet
1 A4, I could do a ctrl+home, Enter, and I would be taken directly to Sheet
1, A4. Now I have to use the mouse directly in the cell with the link.
..

Ah. I gotcha.

I think I tried every combination of shift/alt/control enters to get it to
follow the hyperlink. I failed.

You're going to kill me :-) Does it make a difference if it was Windows 98,
Office 97? I used this for 3 years, so it must've been an option somewhere
in settings that isn't available now. Thanks for trying anyways, I
appreciate it.

We use xl2k at work (winNT 4.0 sp6).

I put a hyperlink in a cell and hit enter. (It worked the same way you said
xl2k would.)

(I hadn't remembered it that way.)

But I couldn't find any option for xl2002 to make it behave this way. (It looks
like xl2002 is just different, well to me anyway.)
