I've just found this newsgroup (microsoft.public.powerpoint), and I have a question. One
of you may know the answer.
My system is a Sony XP Pentium 4. It came with WordPerfect 10. I've subsequently
purchased Microsoft Word 2002. Friends often send me emails with attachments, and on rare
occasions, those attachments are in PowerPoint. I don't have PowerPoint on my computer,
and so I can't open those attachments.
I've looked into the purchase of the PowerPoint package, but since my
only need is to open the infrequent PowerPoint attachment, I really prefer to avoid the
cost of the entire package, if at all possible. (I'm retired and on a fixed income.)
Is there any kind of shareware or free download which will let me just open attachments in
PowerPoint? That's all I need. If there is such a download, could you direct me to it?
