opening apps on the network

When I try to run an .exe off our server, it asks if you
want to open the file, and says exe's can contain malicious
code. Thats great to know, but this is any app off my
internal network, and the option to "always ask.." is
dimmed. I have looked in Internet Explorers Security
Settings and folder view settings, but I cannot figure out
how to disable this message. It only seems to happen after
the latest XP hot fixes, but I am not sure if I want to
delete all of those. Does anyone know how to stop the
message?

Add the server to the Local Intranet or Trusted Sites zone.
