opening a new window(pop-up) not working

I've been having this problem for a while now and i'm not
sure how to fix it. Whenever another window needs to open
in the internet explorer browser it freezes. When clicking
a link and a new window is opened, the window freezes and
nothing shows up. I don't have a pop-up blocker, or
anything like that. I've tried re-installing internet
explorer, but still, nothing is happening. If someone could
help me out, that would be great! Thank's

Check for parasites.
IE 6.

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.
