I was in the middle of updating my web-site which was created from scratch on
Microsoft Office Publisher2003, when all of the sudden, a blue screen briefly
appeared then my computer shut down. When I rebooted and attempted to retieve
the file, a message appeared stating that the file could not be opened, and
that it may have been corrupted during downloading. It says that to open it
again it must be downloaded. I tried restoring my PC to an earlier date, but
to no avail ... hte same message keeps reappearing, I'm lost! Download what?
I don't understand what to do and would greatly appreciate any help, thanks.

Jay:
Your File problem has nothing to do with Windows XP.

In order to update your website, a COPY is downloaded to your PC. What you
are working on in Publisher was not the live Web page residing on the Web
server, but the COPY. When your system blue-screened, that copy got
corrupted.

As the message says, you need to visit your website, download the file, and
start your editing all over again. Visit a Publisher newsgroup for further
questions about editing Web pages with Publisher.
