Open Word maximized

When I open Word, it opens half size. I want it to open maximized. I have
gone to properties and selected maximize, apply and OK. But it doesn't work.

Any help appreciated.

I searched Microsoft and found nothing concerning this issue but I did find
the following in newsgroups and option 2 worked for me.

The problem is in Outlook

Note:
If you close outlook you will notice Word will maximize without a problem

The workaround for this is either

1. Turn off word as your editor in Outlook
or
2. Compose emails in a maximized screen.
