Open report with a dialog box

I've setup a report, so that when it is opened a dialog box appears asking
the user to input the date range for the data they would like to preview. If
there is no data for the date range input, a message box appears telling them
so. But once I click OK to close the message box, another one appears saying
"The OpenReport action was canceled". This does not happen on the example in
the Northwind database provided with Access.
How can I stop this automatic message box appearing?

Your code needs to avoid handling error # 2501. Please see the tip, "How to
prevent a blank report from displaying" for an example of how to do this on
