I just ran a security scan on my computer at Norton's site. It said that I
have the following ports open. Please, anyone, how do I close these ports?

5000 UPnP (Universal Plug and Play). (This service is used to communicate
with any UPnP devices attached to your network.)
5000 Sokets de Trois v1.

Thank you for your help.

.
Odds are very good that you'll never use or need UPNP it
is a security hole shut the service off.

Dear MAP,
Thank you so much for the link. I have already done this... hope I don't
need it, but I can always re-enable it. I just wondered, what is that second
thing that says "5000 Sokets de Trois v1"? Thanks again.

www.grc.com . Steve Gibson made a program i think to remove all that plug
and play exploit, i'm not sure if it's still on the site but worth a look as
it also scans your pc for open ports
