Using OO 2. When I try to print an envelope, OO truncates the first
character on each line of my return address. Anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks!

I have had good luck with www.oooforum.org. They are very helpful and
knowledgeable.

Thanks to you and Craig. I've registered with oooforum, and home to
find an answer there. Looks like there are lots of good people there.

You could try moving the text box slightly or revise the margins set
by your printer.

Remove "farook" to reply
At the bottom of the application where it says
"sign here". I put "Sagittarius"

Simply insert a space as the first character of each line.

Works for me.

.... When sign makers go on strike, is anything written on their picket

Tried both, but neither worked.

I experimented with plain paper until I found the correct location for
the direction and location of the envelope. OO.o gives you six
different formats for placement, one, at least, will work correctly,
I'm sure.

Thanks! I'll give several a try.

I too have a perverse desire to print envelopes with OO. After much
buggering about I found the only reliable method is to create your own text
document. I guess it might be called a template, for me it's just a blank
document. The options they provide in OO never seemed to work as advertised
for me.

What I did was:

1. Created a text document with paper the size of a #10 envelope. (My
printer has this sheet size as an option. You may have to create it.)
2. In Printer Settings I made it to print in landscape mode because I need
to feed it narrow end first
3. I tarted it up with my return address, a square to indicate where the
stamp goes, and a frame for the address.
4. After entering the sender's address, I just hit print. You can save that
sender or leave it blank for the next one.

This procedure bypasses the "Insert Envelope" menu altogether. It works for
me.
