I have multiple Access 2003 VBA program that I just moved to my new Dell
computer with Vista (OFFICE 2003) It has standard buttons with events that
open other forms.
Now, none of the forms open, I get the error message "Open Form Action
Cancelled". Also when I go to my FORMS section and try to open my form in
DESIGN mode the forms dont open though I am still able to get to the code
modules. If I copy it back to my other Dell machines with OFFICE XP it works
perfectly fine. This is happening to all my VBA Access projects for all my
clients.
I also have done error trapping so this error doesn't display but forms
still not open.
Please any thoughts on why this is happening?
thanks in advance

I posted this on another forum just yesterday. Since then, I've seen half a
dozen posts on various forums from people having the same/similar problems!

Important notice from Micro$oft's Knowledge Base:

When you open or are using a Microsoft Office Access database on a computer
that is running Windows Vista, you may encounter one or more of the following
issues:
• Access appears to stop responding.
• Access responds very slowly.
• Access exits unexpectedly or crashes.
• An event that resembles the following is logged in the Application log:

I recently had the same problem, it turned out that Vista did not like my
defualt printer and was telling itself that no printer was selected even
though I could print just fine. I choose my photo printer as default and all
worked. I do not have a Vista driver for my laser printer because HP has not
developed one yet, still using XP drivers.

thank you for your response. Please though Im still confused on the
resolution. Per your forum posting do I need to contact Microsoft or can I
download the "hotfix", if so Im confused as to how to download the fix.
thank you again for your help on this.
